Helen Kavanagh
Helen is the ACTION Project Officer with Dunhill Rural Enterprises Ltd (DREL), based at Dunhill Ecopark, Co Waterford. Helen plays a key role in delivering and managing the ACTION Pilot Project on behalf of DREL the Irish partner.
Helen has some sixteen years work experience in economic development consultancy, strong knowledge of the public, business and community sectors, proven co-ordination and organisational skills. She has worked with donor funded programmes in Ireland, Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle east and the Indian Ocean. Helen’s academic background is in tourism and business studies, recently attaining a post graduate diploma in local economic development.
Living within the Dunhill and Fenor Parish, Helen has worked voluntarily on local community projects including the award winning Fenor Play Park. Helen is a strong believer in the statement that there is no limit to what can be achieved by a community working together.
Maureen Kiely MBS, BA (Hons)
Maureen is the ACTION Project Administration Officer with Dunhill Rural Enterprises Ltd (DREL), based at Dunhill Ecopark, Co Waterford. Maureen plays a key role in compiling and managing all the ACTION project documents and compliance requirements, on behalf of the project team.
Having previously worked in the financial service and media industries, Maureen also has over 25 years’ experience, working in a voluntary capacity for international and national NGOs and local organisations, in the areas of health education, disability awareness, culture and heritage.
Maureen’s academic background is in business management and law and she completed an MBS in Corporate Administration in 2008, specialising in Corporate Regulation and Compliance, Governance and Ethics. Maureen also holds a certificate in practical teaching skills for adult tutors.
Living in Tramore, close to Dunhill, Maureen has always been actively involved in volunteering in her local community, having served on a number of voluntary boards and councils. She is currently a director on the board of Tramore Credit Union.
